  • The location of the Gulf Stream (GS) in brown
  • Clockwise circulating Warm Eddies (WE) north of the Gulf Stream in light blue
  • Counterclockwise circulating Cold Eddies (CE) south of the Gulf Stream in green and yellow
  • Continental Shelf Water (SHW) in dark blue
  • Continental Slope Water (SLW) in light blue

Sea surface temperatures are in degrees Fahrenheit. The 100 fathom line and Hague Line (boundary between U.S. and Canadian water) are also included.

Jenifer Clark’s Gulfstream produces standard ocean and weather charts and forecasts (from a purely science viewpoint) and produces waypoints as general guidance to the mariner indicating where favorable ocean currents are located.
